Question ODD problem never expeirenced!!

ok got my new car today and the low coolant light is on ) no problem for this i am going to change the sensor) but the weird problem is ok!! went to go fill up my car 10 bucks worth and the gas gauge SHOT way over a full tank!! so i was like hmmmm......well went and changed my old speedo cluster from my other car and tried it, thinking it would fix the problem and fix the TRIP odometer thing, but it still is doing the same thing!!
WTF DO I DO???? i have no clue as what this can be!!

let me know ASAP cause im changing it out now!!

If the tank is completely full, they all go way over the full mark. When you get to ~3/4 on the gauge, you are actually have about a half a tank left. The needle will sink more quickly from 3/4 to E. They all do it. It's just the way it is, because of the shape of the tank.
