i emailed bryan and asked him if he did the fix on my program but i havent heard back from him yet.how would u vacuum modulate a transmission??u mean with the line pressure??

i thought the pcm only used mph to shift the 4l60e.i didnt know it also used the rpm.i will try and get this fixed asap and let u guys know.please keep the ideas coming.

no. remember, it shifts differently based on wot or partial.

ya i guess that would make sense because ut hink about when ur car is spinning the tires on the street and its shifting at an actual maybe 20 mph into second gear even though my speedo would read much higher.so by telling the computer that the car is already at prefered speed for the shift its then going to shift based off engine rpm correct??which should be before my 6500 rev limiter id have to imagine.thats a good idea.

ok but back to my previous question--is it the actual sensor in the 96 and up cars that is different or the actual programming in the pcm??

bryan just emailed me an updated fix he said hes used on more stubborn cars such as mine.hopefully it will work.id still like to know why the 0db-1 cars do it and not the odb-2 cars.
