When I'm going 55 sometimes it comes on. The gauges are fine and it runs fine. When I slow down it goes off. I know its near impossible to diagnose without a code scanner, but I wondered if anyone else had this happen and what the problem was.

 

Sounds like maybe a thing a buddy of mine had wrong, it was a thing in his speedo that didn't sense 4000 pulses per mile thing, and made his car run like crap and throw on the light.

 

get it scanned, you won't know until you do.

That being said, mine was doing that and it was the EGR system malfunctioning.
