Obd2 to obd1 conversion

Going from 2 to 1 What needs to be done? Just swap the PCM?

Re: Obd2 to obd1 conversion

There are a couple options one is to solder a couple resistors inside the pcm to make the OBd2 knock sesnors work with the OBD1 pcm. A guy on lsitech.com claims you can also accomplish a similar sort of thing with programming alone I haven't tried it YET. The third option and last thing I would recommend would be swapping the knock sensor but then you would not be able to swap back to your OBD2 pcm and you never know when it might come in handy.

Re: Obd2 to obd1 conversion

I pulled my PCM apart and soldered in some resistors. This way i can switch back to OBD2 for emissions quickly and easily.
