OBD2 to OBD1 ?

OBD2 to OBD1 ?
I have a question that on a search I have not been able to find a complete answer. I have a 97 WS6 T/A and I want to convert to OBD 1 for tuning purposes (going S/C and other mentionables) anyway, If I convert to an OBD 1 ECM through the stock 97s ALDL port will I be able to use OBD 1 specific software like auto tap and LT1 edit? will any modifications to the plugs and or wiring need to be made ?

All that is needed to convert is swapping in an obd1 computer and obd1 knock sensor. Nothing else needs to be changed. You will be able to use lt1 edit, tunercat, datamaster, etc...
Also ill move this to LT1 Tech since it fits there better.

search the name madwolf he can hook you up on the conversion he did mine. he will put a resistor in the obd1 pcm to accept the obd2 knock sensor. and the cable for hooking up software to the aldl for obd2 with a obd1 pcm can be bought at www.akmcable.com and go to this site to get the pcm www.madz28.com
