obd1/obd2 quick swaps

I have a 97 Z28 (in sig) and I'm about to send my pcm in to get retuned and i will still need my car for school. can i borrow a friend's old obd1 pcm from a 95 for a week and be ok? is there anything that needs to be done for it to work? I just need it for about a week til my tuned pcm comes back
Thanks.

and sorry for the double posting, i posted it in the computer diagnostics forum and didn't get any replies and i was kinda hoping for a quick reply so i can send mine off already
