OBD1 LT1 Max Comp RPM???

How high can you turn an LT1 with a stock re-burned computer? Im looking to spin it kinda high

Since it can't be totally removed (which is what I wanted in my case since I use an MSD box for the revlimiter) my factory PCM was set at 7200 rpm's which I was told was as high as it could be adjusted(for anything)........Joe

So what other options do I have? Because I would really like to use my setup to its true potental. Like lots and lots of rpms...

Mine struggled to go over 7000..sometimes it would..sometimes it wouldn't. I hear ed can get it to go higher but I just converted over to a dfi system. You can spin it to 12000 if you want with any of the aftermarket computer setups.

Quite possibly, I was hoping that someone with a little more insight would chime in. Hence the exposure via the repost. The other post was mostly reguarding the mechanical limit of a different setup. I do not have the funds to purchase a fast system on a college budget and am mereley seeking a more cost effective alternative. Thank you.
