OBD1 LT1 Max Comp RPM???
Since it can't be totally removed (which is what I wanted in my case since I use an MSD box for the revlimiter) my factory PCM was set at 7200 rpm's which I was told was as high as it could be adjusted(for anything)........Joe

Mine struggled to go over 7000..sometimes it would..sometimes it wouldn't. I hear ed can get it to go higher but I just converted over to a dfi system. You can spin it to 12000 if you want with any of the aftermarket computer setups.
Were you thinking the answer has changed since the last time you asked it?

Quite possibly, I was hoping that someone with a little more insight would chime in. Hence the exposure via the repost. The other post was mostly reguarding the mechanical limit of a different setup. I do not have the funds to purchase a fast system on a college budget and am mereley seeking a more cost effective alternative. Thank you.
