OBD-II to OBD-I Conversion
I don't know a lot about PCMs in Camaros so let me ask you guys: What do you have to do to convert an OBD-II to an OBD-I? My dad is a mechanic at a Chevy dealership, would he be able to do it with the Tech-II Diagnostic tools that he has? Also, what are the advantages of this conversion? Is it easier to reprogram the OBD-I? Thanks.

You would have to get an OBDI PCM for that and either modify it to work with your current, OBDII knock sensor, or also swap the knock sensor with an OBDI one.
Some advantages include cheaper programming and scanning software. It also ignores the rear O2 sensors and doesn't have as many codes to throw as the OBDII has.
