Hi,

I installed my o2 sensors today thinking that would fix the backfiring, loss of power, the car shakes, etc. NOPE! I still have the same problems...

My car sounds like it has a mild cam, I have NO power at WOT or partial throttle and my car backfires like a machine gun and occasionally at idle...

I checked my wires and noticed that one was partially burnt. What would cause the constant backfiring? I'm replacing all the spark plug wires tomorrow..but do you think I could have hooked them up wrong IE: wrong plug to the wrong cylinder? I'm stumped on this one...

Also, can anyone give me a diagram of an Optispark and which output goes to which Cylinder? Thanks!

Hey, are you getting any codes?
I can bring my scanner over later on in the week and we can see whats up with your sensors.
I have an opti and water pump install to tackle this weekend.
Do you have a haynes manual or chiltons?
Might go to autozone or something and pick one up, they come in real handy.

He doesn't have his wires on the opti in the right order. Should be fixed his morning and also the burnt wire will be replaced. Hopefully it'll be better after that. Dude, you need to get AIM.

 

Apparently the LT1s don't likey when the wires are misplugged. Glad that is what the problem was

 

I had ICQ once but I got tired of trying to do 10 things at once. Also I hate people being able to get ahold of me at anytime, I used to have a cell phone but got tired of talking to people ALL the time so I got rid of it.

Glad Bret got that figured out. I just have not had time this weekend, I was out at Sonic Friday but my distributor has been acting up and I did not want to be too far from home if it decided to quit for good.
