O2's for Long Tubes
O2's for Long Tubes
I have a question
I'm getting long tubes put in as I speak.. Now for the O2s, the only O2s I really have to worry about hooking up are the ones at the collectors, right?? From what I understand, the ones at the collectors determine fuel mixture. The O2s at the cats (which there will be no cats) only tell the computer whether the cats are working or not, right??
I know I'm supposed to put O2 sims on the whatever O2s I take out, but I saw this Click Here .. Wouldnt that work the same??
Any suggestions?? How can I get everything working at optimal performance since some sensors will be gone?

You can
a)buy 02 sims
b)get your PCM reprogrammed to delete the rear sensors
c)Do an OBD-I conversion.
I did the conversion, and couldn't be happier. It will cost you a little more than the other two, but you will make up for it when it is time to reprogram the car since reprogramming the OBD-Is are much cheaper. Just my two cents, good luck.

Do the O2 sims help fix the air/fuel mixture or just turn off the SES light?? I just got the car back with the long tubes and its running REALLY rich.. Whats the easiest way to fix this?
The o2 sims don't help the A/F ratio, and most cars tend to run richer after a header install. My car did the same thing. You might want to get the car tuned to take care of the problem. Good luck.
