o2 simulators

I got a 96 Z28 with no cats and its inspection time again...i get the codes for my secondary air pump...another for my cats...and my evap system...my friend told me to get a few o2 sensor simulators...just wonderin where can i get these and for about how much? and yes i know they are illegal on the street.

you would need 2 (if you didnt already know) and they replace the 2 that were behind the cats.

that will solve the light being on for the catilyst malfunction but nothing else.

if you have a code for SAP, and EVAP then you have other problems and or parts missing.

alright thanks...he said it might clear the other 2 up...he thought the airpump might be acting up cuz of no cats and the evap might have just got wierded out...thanks anyway...ill get the simulators if i can find them somewhere and see what happens...anyone know where i can get them?

Here's some good info. on O2 simulators and even how to build your own. Casper Electronics no longer makes them, but they do have some really neat stuff.

do what I did and make it an excuse to get a custom tune
I had Ion @ madz28 turn off my EGR, AIR, EVAP, skip shift, speed limiter.. now I just need to find the time to rip all that emissions junk off

I just deleted my rear O2s using the universal dual output sim from O2simulator.com. This is also on a 1996z28, I have no issuses or codes.

I think im gunna use this as an excuse to get a tune like roadwarrior said to...anyone know how to get ahold of madz28 and about how long this tuning takes?

nother vote for the tune Ion did the same thing for me...its fun passing emissions and rolling out of the place w/ no cats and longtubes lol
