I have a bad left side catalytic converter and i need to go pass emissions here in Illinois kinda soon. Here they are using a new system where if your car is OBD II they only plug in a scanner to see if your car is working ok and if the computer tells them that it is, then you have no need to actually test emissions. If i get an O2 simulator for my rear O2 sensor, will that clear my SES light and trick my computer? Thanks in advance for any input.

 

As far as I know it will that is what they are for,just make sure the light is on because of the o2 sensor and not somthing else.

Its on becaust its saying my cats arent performing correctly. And my local mechanic said he checked both cats and the left side wasnt right.
