O2 Sensor replacement question.

Okay I did a search and didn't find the answer I was looking for. I'm getting a P430 error code on my SES which is the pass. side bank is not efficient. It's been recommended that I check the O2 sensors on that side.

My question is: Do I need a special O2 socket for the sensors on our camaros? My last car was a nissan and I had to rent an O2 sensor socket from Auto Zone to remove it. Also, does anyone have pictures of the removal process of the O2 sensors? I didn't see any listed on Brent Frankers site or any of the other great sites you guys have.

Any help would be great, as I need to get those O2s checked out.

I know there is an O2 sensor wrench or something, but I didn't use any special tools to remove my O2 sensors, I used a standard adjustable wrench.

A p430 if I recall should be a rear o2(after the cat). The rear o2s are fairly accessable but the wrench would be good. I know the "wrench" I bought was just a impact type socke that you could use a wrench with too. It only cost like $8 at the local automotive store.

I just used a wrench, I believe its 7/8 inch if I remember correctly. Make sure when you put the new one in you put a little antiseize on the threads. Makes sure not to get any on the actual sensor portion.

Cool, thanks guys

I'll jack it up and see if I can get a wrench around that sucker. I'm asuming it's not too hard to find since it's just past the Cat?
