I've been having ignition problems, took it to my mechanic, and he has to replace the Opti. My question is, the last time I went to the track, about a month ago, my car felt like it was falling on its face, and was making no power in the upper RPM's. I ran slower with 3.73's than I did with 2.73's. Is it possible the Opti was starting to fail causing the poor performance?

 

I am pretty sure my opti is going( bad coolant leak all over it). It stumbles around 2k and is down on power... It has been going down hill, lost 2mph in the quarter so far.

Exact same thing happend to my car. Had a high rpm miss at 5500 and up (redline at 6200). It kills track performance.

Just replaced the opti 2 days ago, and it feels like a completely different car. Pulls all the way to 6200 and then some.

My car has never felt this strong running before.
