nothing but air comming out of top bleeder valve when car is ideling

is that normal? if i look into the radiator whit the car ideling i can see water squart out of the top hole where the line comes in but it only sprays out about every 2-3 seconds not a steady stream, but if i hit the throtle i will get a steady stream comming out

is that what i should exspect or is there a posable problem?

Make sure the thermostat is open, it always works with me. Make sure it is atleast at 180* and open the lower bleeder first. It sounds like you just have a lot of air in yours. My car is the same way, just keep it open, eventually coolant will come out. Then open the top and you are done.

I am assuming the bottom bleeder is not "bled," so that is probably why it is not steadily coming out.

An operating system must be bled when there is pressure in the system. If you had the cap off, you need to give it time to pressurize.
