Not what i had hoped

Just got back from the track and i was no were near what i had hoped to run. With the mods in the sig. i got a best of 14.1 w/a 2.1 60FT and i made 4 runs as i was shooting to get a 12. The car runs great and feels strong but on the track it is no were near what i hoped. It is an A4 with 2.73s (how much could the 2.73s be costing me?) other then that i dont know were i am losing time.

Re: Not what i had hoped

Gears are killing ya bad ........with 3.73's and decent traction it should be much closer to where you were hoping........what was your best MPH?

Have you had the car tuned for the cam? Something else is wrong if your trapping under 100mph.

Re: Not what i had hoped

With that MPH I would be curious as to possibly your tune. You should be running that MPH stock. My old Z with 2.73 ran 14.2 @99 with CAI and exhaust at Bristol.

When was the last time you did a tune-up? Are you sure the cam was installed properly?

Need some 3.73's and get rid of that flowmaster, might want to go with a 3200 stall

I burnt out a plug wire so it got new plugs and wires the night before and the cap and rotor are 5 month old MSD.

Re: Not what i had hoped

I wonder if your fuel filter is dirty or your fuel pump is on its way out. A properly tuned car with the mods you have should be running much better. Is there a way for you to veiw your fuel pressure while WOT. 2.73 gears arn't your best choice of gears but they aren't the sole thing keeping you from 12s. In fact im willing to bet you'd only find a couple tenths out of a gear swap. Also looks like your 60ft need some help, an A4 with a stall and sticky tires should be getting 1.6 1.7 60ft or better!!! That alone will bring your times down ALOT!
