not starting up

ok so the lt1 has been driving me crazy for a week now. I just put 2 new head gaskets, a timing chain, msd cap and rotor, and msd 8.5 wires running up to autolite double platnum plugs. the mass airflow sensor was ported and i put pacesetter long tubes and a 3" magnaflow cat back system on. The car starts for 1 second and then dies. today i removed to optispark and checked inside it and found a some milky looking oil deposits from when my engine became flooded by rainwater. the motor was spining freely after i removed the water and changed the oil. but now it wont start. could this be a bad optispark or is it something more? Im in despirate need of solutions any input will be greatly appreciated............. Thanks in advance

I would be concerned with anything getting on the opti. You said it had rain water on it and this is after the work done. Is the oil in the opti or on the out side?

most likely vats or ingnition problem because of the opti being soaked in water....

just a quick thought could the timing chain being off by 1 tooth cause the motor to not start. and the knock sensor going off from my long tubes as well cause this?

The timing chain being off could be a possibility. However, the long tubes giving off enough "false knock" to cause the car not to run is unlikely.
