Not running right (supercharged)

Ok, I have a problem. I bought this car and immediately after unloading it from my trailer, it overheated. I bought a new thermostat and it was running and driving great after that. I put maybe another 50 miles on the car, ran a few 1/4 miles (not at full throttle, but getting close) and it was still running fine. I parked it after taking one of my friends for a ride, during which I ran it pretty hard for 1/4 mile and then just cruised around for about 10 minutes and everything was fine. The next time I drove it, just about an hour later, it was harder to start and popped when I really got on the gas, but still had plenty of power. I only have driven it once after that time, and it popped a little bit at idle and quite badly when I went above about 1/2 throttle, yet again the car still seemed to have all of its power (except when it popped). After that I did not drive the car, but I did start it up a few times and just let it idle...after a few times of doing this the car started to die at idle and eventually wouldn't start up again, just crank. Then the starter went out, so I haven't touched it in a few weeks. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also, I thought I would add that the starter was just replaced by the previous owner, so I suspect he might have had this problem as well. The starter would have had less than 200 miles since new.

Out of curiousity, what kind of heads?

As far as the problem. Sounds like ignition to me from the info provided. Swap out the Mallory coil for stock and see what happens. Also, did any codes come on?

LT4 heads...I don't have a diagnostic tool to check the codes myself, but I'm going to have it looked at as soon as I can find a trailer to load it on (tricky situation, its lowered).
