Ok my car is running like crap sometimes. I can drive normal for 80% of the time and it will be fine but if I got WOT once then the SES light comes on and its like the motor cuts out for a couple seconds then comes back. I took my car to GM and they got DTC 36 Hi Res Signal. We were reading the book and it could be one of 3 things. Its either the PCM, the opti, or 1 other thing. Now about 3 weeks ago I was driving it and it finally just died on me and wouldn't start. So I towed it home and let it sit. Now today I went out, boosted it and it fired right up! If It were my opti wouldn't it crap out right away?

Anyone know what exactly I need to test to find out if its my PCM or opti? Anyone know what the 3rd problem might be for DTC 36? Any help is appreciated!

 

High res signal is most likely the opti I was getting the same or a similar code and it was the opti check shoebox's site it tells you how to check the opti.Site

 

Yea it just died again on me I'm pretty sure its the opti but I can't get over how I let it sit for 3 weeks then it fired right up no problem.
