Not happy with Jason Chromer..

I have always orderd from Sam Smith, but since he left I decided to go with Jason Chromer for a bunch of misc motor and tranny parts for my 383 and tranny swap project.

I got my list together and made a call on March 3rd for my parts. I talked to Jason myself, ordered the parts and was told they would be here the 10th. The 12 rolls around with no parts so I call again to see what was going on. Turnsout the order got thrown out and the parts were never ordered. I ordered them again and was told the would be in the 19th. Still no parts on the 20th so I call. I must have been on hold for 15 min when some random guy anwsered...I gave him my name and asked when my parts when going to arrive and a tracking number...He came back and told me they were going out the 21st!

Needless to say I wasnt happy and still not. I need these to build my motor and to finish my swap!! This just set back my project a week or two.

I know this maybe an isolated incident but I thought I get it off my chest....

Just sucks, b/c too many people on this board and others use him which= probably very very backed up and such.

We need to stop referring everyone single board member to him, to cut this problem down hehe j/k

I have heard similar stories like yours, so i know its been going on for a bit now.

Wow Matt, that sucks. I can't believe it happened twice! If...when the parts come in, lemme know if you need a hand. I may have the camaro on the road by that time, so I can drive us to your buddy's house.

I understand you wanting to get it off your chest. I would be pissed also.
But I would imagine it is an isolated incident. My little brother and I have ordered MANY parts from Jason, and we have never had a problem with parts being ordered or a timely delivery. Just hang in there. He told us two weeks ago that he has been swamped because so many people are ordering parts with their tax returns.

Try Dal next time...really nice guy!

I'm sure this is just an isolated case, but two delayed orders, back to back? Touch luck bro .

He's not Summit or anything, just a guy a working in the parts department of a small GM dealer in FL who sells parts cheap. You can't expect top rate customer service from the place. If I need something really quick I wouldn't order from him, I'd go to a local dealer if it was that urgent.

I received my LT4 Xtreme Duty timing kit and gasket set successfully. Wasn't exactly overnight service, but I can't complain. It did take about a week, but it got through.

Good luck with this.

I have spent a LOT of money with him and never had a problem.

We need to get his dealership to become a board sponsor.

I've had good experiences with jason cromer - except once, I SPECIFICALLY mentioned that I wanted it shipped 2nd day air, several times, and called later to double check that it was going out that night by 2nd day.. (I needed the parts ASAP)

turns out he shipped it ground anyway and it delayed my project and kept my car undriveable for another week. To make it worse, he left out a couple parts that I never got.

blah.

But hey, you can't beat his prices.
