Ok, well the other day my car started running reall bad all of a sudden, and got real hot, i parked it, and turned it off, then on, it ran rough, kinda smelt like coolant while driving home, was barely running, had to floor it to move. Turned key and heard horrible grinding sound, ended up being a cracked starter.....now that is solved, i wanna know what went wrong with the coolant and stuff, i wanna say my waterpump went south.....i saw some coolant dripping when i got home, and there is coolant spalshed up all under the car, drained the rest of the coolant and it looks ok, oil on dipstick is fine also.....I noticed sludge on each of the 4 hoses that connect to the water pump, also the metal piece that is on the top of the water pump, that the hose connects to, had sludge around it......any ideas???......im on a budget here.....weep whole is dry, but car has been sitting for 5 days.

 

so whats wrong with the car NOW? is it running hotter? leaking coolant still? where does the coolant appear to be coming from?

 

getting a new starter today and i'll find out then
