NOS vs Supercharger (Battle of the Century)
Depends.
If you want to win street races, either. If you want to have a sleeper car, spray.
For a BUILT LT1, boost. For a stock short block, N20. LT1's are too high of compression to effectively run boost the the stock **** pistons. N20 is much easier on a high compression motor. And it also generates less heat. Its way easier to tune for, and its significantly cheaper. You would likely have to go through like 70 bottles, at 4.50 a pound, to be even to the cost of a cheap ($4500) blower set up, assuming you have $1500 into the N20.
Also with N20, your that much less likely to hit it cause you know you have to refill it, so your not thrashing the car as hard, as frequently. And it seems like, for the most part, a 100 shot puts you a little ahead of the game on a 6-8PSI LT1. N20 is hideable. Which is cool.
