noise when foot on brake in drive

hey guys. I have a 94 z28 stock. I'm having this bad creaking chirping sound when I am at a complete stop with my foot on the brake, but only in drive. if I put it in park or neutral the noise stops kinda sounds like a bad PS pump. but I just replaced water pump and PS pump.

Re: noise when foot on brake in drive

Best guess: RPMs drop a little when you're on the brake in drive, vs. when the engine is idling free or revved higher (which it would do at any other time). The drop in RPM can cause vibrations. Check for loose heat shields around your exhaust.

If I'm right about the cause, you might be able to get it to make the sound with the car idling in park by turning the steering wheel back and forth. Keep an eye on your tach for the drop in RPM in all cases.

yea it also makes the sound in park when I turn the wheel. I think it might have something to do with the exhaust manifold.
