i havent really heard many cat backs in person so i was wondering compared to some of the popular ones (borla, gmmg, corsa, hooker, magnaflow, etc.) how loud is the 2OTL? i dont think its too loud, but im curious how it compares to others at idle, cruising and hard acceleration...thanks

 

My friend has it on his 97 SS. It has a nice overall throaty sound. Not too loud, but by no means quiet. Awesome full throttle sound as well.

 

It also gets louder with age.

[edit]...but never obnoxious, raspy or poppy...

 

As I have said in meny other threads.. I wouldn't trade my 2OTL for ANYTHING. Great rumble at idle and really comes alive at WOT.

 

Mine was loud as HELL, I put a bullet buffler in the off road pipe to try and quieten it down, sob sounded like a Winston Cup car.

Mine is just right for me. At idle it is throaty but rather quiet. At WOT it gets louder but is not nearly as loud as say a FLowmaster or other high performance exhaust system. I don't care for a really loud exhaust. Frankly, it is the best exhaust system that I have every had and I can say that I really like it and would recommend it.

 

thanks for the input guys...but i have the exhaust already i was just looking for some comparison with other exhuasts

i think ill stick with my original idea of getting an e cut out and welding on some CME tips

 

I just wanna add another vote for the awesome sound of the SLP 2 on da left. I use to have a flowmaster. To compare the two the SLP 2 on da left is deep tone to it on idle but wasn't too late like the flowmaster. When cruising around the SLP has this nice deep throaty sound when cruising but when you hit WOT it sounds awesome. I really like the sound of the SLP 2 on da left and I would not trade it for any exhaust. I am not too much of a fan for loud exhaust.

 

sounds AWSOMe and its also one of the best flowing exhausts out there
