Noise

On my 94 Z 28 I'm having some popping noise after installing pace setter long tube headers and pace setter y pipe. It sounds like the header is hitting the engine mount or y pipe is hitting under the car. has anyone else had any problems with this? Thanks for any and all advice

The car is lowered 1.2 inches. KYB fully adjustable shock/struts. Adjustable rear control arms and pan hard bar. Cold air intake. Pace setter long tube headers

Re: Noise

My Hookers hit underneath. Didn't see it until I put it on a lift. Had to make a 1/2 in notch to keep it from hitting.

Re: Noise

Poly motor mounts might help.

Sometimes you just have to get dirty......

Can't remember but even if I did, would it matter? Where mine was hitting doesn't mean that's where yours is hitting.

This is a case of finding your own problem. If it's not obvious when you get under it to look at it. You have to pull and rock on it until you see where it hits. Then decide if you dimple the header (which is always a bad idea) or notch the frame/body.
