No start prob.

Alright im havin a few problems. To start i have a 95 z28 with lt1 the engine is stock the only upgrades i have is a new transmission and cold air intake. so the car started boggin down whenever you put it under load and would backfire. once you turned it off it would not start again it will just turn over. hooked up scan tool and once i cleared the codes it started again. it did this twice. drove it home and once i turned it off for the third time it wouldnt start no matter what you did. so i was thinkin it had to be either the opti or the ecm. i borrowed a master tech(tech1) scan tool and it will not read any data, it will power up but does not read any data or codes and does not get a voltage signal. well i went ahead and replaced the opti, coil, plugs, wires, waterpump. all ignition parts are msd. once that was put in now when you turn it over it will just pop but wont start. so what do you think could it be computer or could it be somethin else...? any help would be great thanks.

Are you saying that you are not reading any data from the Tech 1 at all? I would think that you will still receive some type of data from the Tech 1 with just the key turned on. I know that my ScanMaster does that. If that's the case is there's somebody that you know that you can borrow their ECM?

Not to sure if you read the codes before you cleared them or not the first time, if so what were they?

Thumbs up

Good deal , I was going to suggest to check that, it's so easy to get these Opti's on the wrong way. Not to sure either on data output, but at least the car is up and running now.
