No start.
Oh i did thought about pulling the opti, but darn that would be alot of work lol. But i guess i have no choice. Tomorrow i will be getting a scanner from work i really hope it works on my car.
I tested the wiring from the opti to the connect and all wires test out .3 ohms. From connector to the PCM they also all test out .3 ohms.
So Lets say that i check for codes and i get code 16 or the other code for high res. At that point since i checked my wiring, coil, module, it would leave the opti as the faulty unit.

Finally i was able to tare down to the distributor. Hook the volt meter on the low res wire red/black . i spind the shaft on the opti and the voltage was at a steady 0.15 volts it would not move from there. I probe the High res wire purple/white and i get a 5.15 volts and would not move down but only to 5.11 volts. I had an old distributor i had replaced thinking that was the fault in previous years and i hooked it up. When i probe the Low res wire i had voltage. as i spin the shaft the voltage moves 5.0 to 3.0 and up and down. I check the high res wire and the same voltage does move. I got in order a new distributor since i dont want to take any chances on the old one.
one question. the distributor is almost 2 years old also the cap and rotor. if i want to save money would you guys advice to just get the distributor and take the cap and rotor from the one on the car right now>
