No spark - possible MSD 6AL problem please help
To make a long story short I need some help with the wiring of an MSD 6AL. I am not getting spark to the coil. I am sure I have battery power to the unit and the key on power is also present. The ground is connected and good. Now, should I see 12volts from the orange and black coil connection wires with the key on? I am not. Also, when I initally turn the key to the on position I see a single spark from the coil but no spark while cranking. Any ideas?
Here are some of the specifics but this shouldn't confuse the issue: I am using an Accel DFI Gen 7+ with an LT4 intake drilled for a rear mount distributor. This setup requires the use of an ignition box. So I am using an MSD 6AL. This setup does NOT use the LT1 ignition module. It uses the orange and black coil connection wires connected directly to the GM 96-97 coil, the white points wire from the MSD connected to the Accel dual-sync distributor (blue wire).
Any help greatly appreciated.
