Hey all im having a bit of trouble with my car. First of all it starts hard and idles rough, but it really starts to idle rough when I put it in any gear. At a stop the rpm's will jump up and down from around 1200 to 800 and back up. The car shakes like crazy. Take offs are horrible, for the first couple of seconds, it is slow and backfires a bit. I had GM put on a whole new distributor and changed the plugs/wires. (I was having this problem before, I thought it was the opticrap) What are the chances of some of the injectors being bad?

oh btw its a 94z with 130,000 milies, and the only mods are a K&N cold air intake, and a Borla exhaust

Verify you have proper fuel pressure. Did you inspect your spark plugs?

 

Also verify that the coolant temp sensor in the waterpump is functioning.

 

Try unplugging the MAF also...

 

May have a clogged cat, hit it with a stick and listen for anything rattling around.

 

sounds like plug wires are mixed..check them
