No Cruise Control

My cruise control for some reason just stopped. What should I check first?

Re: No Cruise Control

Check the switch on the turn signal stalk or swap it with another one. Most GM cars of the same year share the same part. I think Advance Auto or Autozone carries a generic turn signal stalk that looks the same and will work the same but costs less.

Re: No Cruise Control

The button switch on my brake pedal lever somehow backed up and caused mine to quit. The switch is attached loose, doesn't lock down. I took off the wire connector, screwed it in a couple of turns reconnected and got it back. If you have a 6 speed, there is also a switch on the clutch pedal. Check those before you buy anything.
