No cat + cutout

Is there really a point to doing BOTH of these? Strapped for cash right now and I want to know if I can run both or if there's even a point.

Yes do both you wont be sorry. Cutout will open up about 10 RWHP and if the cat was removed it would be even more free flowing, so yes there is a good point to having both mods. If you have headers and exhaust you should see an even bigger gain. Cory

I have longtubes, cc305, and no cats and cutout. I love the sound of it. I swear that when it is closed, it feels i loose about 30hp(and the great sound). I have a regular flomaster behind it all that the previous owner put on there and that might be why i feel such a gain. No dyno numbers to prove it though.

I would be curious to see what the dyno #'s would be. My bro has a '99 Dodge RT with LT's, cut-out, no cats, gibson side exit exhaust and with the cutout uncapped on the dyno it makes 15 + more horsepower than with it capped.

It's a Y that’s cut into your exhaust tubing before the muffler and you can uncap one end of the Y for a free flowing exhaust bypassing the muffler by like 90% or so. I hope you were serious.

All of these, and thanks. I got the hook up on a state inspection so running no cat will be fine.

Plus, I have an OBD I car so there is no O2 sensor AFTER the cat anyway.

So even if the cat was clogged, they wouldn't know without sniffing the tailpipe, and this is Texas, it aint gonna happen.

The previous owner puts flows on mine too, how does it change the sound?

I want it to be hella loud but add some nice power too.
