I'm surprised it's holding up with the mods you have now!!! With a six speed you're looking to blow up your rearend. Start saving for a 12-bolt IMHO.

Actually you're in no real danger as it is. The key right now is that you are running street tires, not slicks. As long as you are running radials, make as much power as you want. The tires will spin before your axles/gears will snap. Nitrous + slicks + M6=12-bolt time!

lol do yourself a favor and dont spray off the line ... I know a kid in 11th grade who is NOS crazed , put it in his 92 Z, with a 100 shot i think? Hit it off the line as he lauched and it decimated his driveshaft

I spray off the line.

As long as you don't hook, I say it should be fine. I was running mid 12's on the spray and internally stock w/ my stock 10-bolt....held up fine, and sold it in working order. I went to the 12-bolt so I could run sticky tires and launch a lot harder.

Oh , I didnt think the stock 4th gen rears could handle that , thats cool tho that they can. I guess maybe his Camaro has a weaker shaft & rear since its a 3rd gen and not 4th ? ... What shot were you using on the stock rearend ?

you caint really base it on who has and hasnt broke theres I put a 6 speed in my 305 TBI camaro and it will snap a 10 bolt like a match stick, on the street with street tires. with a little help of a spec clutch . It now has a 12 bolt so no more rear breakings.its more in how you drive one. if you power shift alot and stuff like that.
