NGK TR55 Plug Gap

Now, I know these come pre-gapped, but are any of you guys modifying the gap for increased performance??? My motor is your usual bolt-on motor, no forced induction, etc.

.050 na: but it is advisable to check the gaps on all plugs and use anti-seize compound. JMHO

I run TR5s gapped at .043"

It's the same plug as a TR55, just pre-gapped at .035" instead of .050"

I always thought that the gap was suppose to be .036 - .038. Maybe I was wrong...

the set I bought

were all pre-gapped at .055

I changed the gap to .050 and the car runs great. Taylor Spiro Pro? 8mm wires.

I put mine at .45 since that was the largest my tool would go...stupid AZ tool. I hear the smaller the gap the easier it is on the opti. Wouldn't go below .40...doubt .1+- really matters much to be noticed by hp or mpg
