The Next Step......?

What should I do next? I was thinking cam/heads ported but was wondering if I should get gears/stall before that. Won't be getting anything for a few months but in the next few months I should have some decent $$ saved up.

Me personally, I would do the gears/stall combo. The heads/cam is very sweet, but there are many extras you have to take into consideration.
Valve springs, pushrods, roller rockers, all kinds of gaskets, tuning, possibly lifters, cam, a lot of money for the head porting. My little brother just got heads and cam and it is nice, but he dropped a ton of money on it.
If you were doing the gears/stall combo it would be fairly cheap and you would DEFINATELy have a SOTP feel. The only things needed for this woudl be converter of choice, gears of choice, tuning, and install. That is it. And a well stalled and geared auto car is very much up there with the fun/coolness factor.
good luck

Thanks all that helps alot. Anyone know where I can find a 3000 stall for cheap? Or cheapest you've seen it? Also I don't know much about converters but I do know I want a 3000 stall because I researched that a little bit. It will be mainly a street car but will go to the strip some. What is lock up mean on a converter and would I want 9.5" or 12"
