Next Modification.

I'm having a hard time deciding on what I should to to the Formula next. I recently installed a Moroso CAI. I want the next mod to give me a little more omph! My choices are a 1LE intake elbow and a 52MM Throttle body. My elbow is badly torn and in need of replacement. My next choice would be a set of 3.73 gears.

I'm not getting a catback because I have plans on doing LT's and True Duals.
Which of these will yield a better punch. Gears or elbow+TB?

Elbow- 60 bucks and a few hp, TB is 325 and a few hp. you pick.

Next i would get a pcm tune. They are 75-125 and will be worth 10-15hp because the factory tune is so rich. After that get the gears, or do them both have have you speedo corrected.

I would really look into a set of headers. THey are 500 roughly for all the parts needed but well worth it.

Out of those choices, the gears will give you the most seat of the pants improvement. Niether the elbow or TB will give you much of an increase, especially a very noticeable difference like you are looking for.

The elbow, exhaust, tune, gears and a Yank SS 3600 is the order I would do.

Be kind of dumb to get a tune before the gears or converter, id get the tune last. asuming hes going to do this all somewhat quickly.

The elbow won't add any power gains, and neither will the TB with the mods already done. I would do the gears for now.

Gears all the way, elbow and tb will not give you much at all. No doubt you will feel the difference with gears which will make your car quicker and more fun to drive.
