Cool Newbie Questions

Hi all...
Just bought a 93Z28 with A4 and 2.73 gears. There's a timeslip in the glovebox indicating 14.30@96...which isn't too bad for stock. I've gotten mixed advice regarding what to do first in my effort to put it into the high 13's.

Some say just go to 3.42 gears, CAI and exhaust. Others say the gears will make it feel better, but for the $$ won't gain much in e.t. , and that a 2,800-3,000 stall converter will do alot more for my times.

Anyone with experience in this area that can offer advice based on experience?

TIA

Bob....gloss black 93Z

stall-->2800 stall converter
exhaust-->long tube headers/ good flowing catback/true duals
cai-->make your own, along with the ram air. (do a search for homemade ram air and homemade cai)
tires-->nittos or bfg dr's
gears-->if ya want, 3.42's or 3.73's (again do a search)

if that doesn't put you well into the 13's then i don't know what to tell ya. i would guess that you could run at least a 13.5 with a decent 60' time

This is a fairly recent link to some info on where to start.

I'd personally start out with induction and exhaust. Actually, if you just bought it then I'd start out with changing all the fluids and filters if you haven't done so already.
