Question Newbie Alert!!!

just to warn everybody i am a computer salesman and i don't know a whole lot about engines.
earlier today i raced a 5.0 and lost by a fender. Once we hit about 80 mph as i slowed down it felt like the whole backend of my car was vibrating badly... Almost as if i was on a rough road but i was not. Once i slowed down to about 20 due to traffice then accelerated again all was smooth. This car is completly stock with 24k mi. just my guess but could it have something to do with the differential (fyi i can't spell so don't laugh to hard)

secondly, i would like to beat that mustang if i could... whats the first mod i should do for the best horsepower...
thanks
josh

There is a common problem with driveshafts over 65MPH or so, vibration.
But you say vibrating badly, were you on the brakes at the time it was vibrating?
If so Brake Rotors.

Good one. I would say brake rotors also. Mine warped reall ez. As far as mods.....if your cars bone stock and you lost only by a fender, get yourself a CAI (cold air induction kit) run you about 250 or so and you will eat that same car by tomorrow afternoon.

Ut ohh,, my bad the Flowmaster was a joke (for some reason people dont like them here on this board).
A hooker Cat-Back is great and low cost, under $300.
I think for the most part and CAI is good, moroso is great for the price.
The 847 is CamaroZ28.com's Camshaft of the Year. It has won several awards including a Grammy Award for its songs " That thing behind me is a ZO6 what?" and "Why won't no-one will race me at the 'ol stop light."
