New valvetrain and max RPM

I was wondering if I freshened up my valvetrain including lifters, pushrods, and 1.6 rockers, what would be a max safe RPM. (stock cam) Thanks!

no need to wind it any farther, you wont be making anymore power

Yup, the stock cam is the bottleneck.

A new valvetrain will give you increased power throughout the RPM range, but it will not change that range. However, you want to choose a valvetrain that will support a cam if you plan to get a larger one.

agreed. my car has the mods listed in my sig and i've driven that for a couple summers now. i hopped back in a stock one to test drive it for a buddy and it felt like 6 speed minivan. the stock cam suts out at about 4500 and just levels from there
