Thats pretty impressive, I imagine with some aditional port work those would be a killer set of heads. Amazing how many choices we have for heads on our LT1s compared to just 6 or so years ago. Looks like these companies still like us
I hope they fixed the spring seat problem they had with the previous heads. If you look at a pair of the trick flow heads side by side with the AFR heads, you will see that the two center spring seats which are near a bolt hole are visibly smaller than the rest. I guess they figured you would run two smaller diameter springs, lol.
Here are some pics from when I had a set machined for my first motor. The motor got stolen unfortunately.
It is the springs for the two exhaust valves in the center that you can see here:

here is a measurement of the seat in question:

and the rest were like this:

and the machine work to make them all the same size:

Is there any word on what the differences are in this head and their previous offerings?

I find that somewhat interesting. With the beehive springs you are supposed to be able to run less spring pressure. Interesting that the spring pressure is creeping up.

I thought the open and closed pressures looked about the same. Have the specs on the Patriots Extremes handy?
