I just got back from a 1/8 track. I had some worn BFG dr, they hooked pretty good


My best time was

RT .735 i know that sucks, i usually get .58 to 75
60 ft 1.958
1/8 8.573
mph 81.53

 

those times sound about right.
my best 1/8 time was 9.2 at 84mph with a 2.5 60'

 

i went to the local drag strip with my Z tonight...it was a test and tune night for the big cars, and $5 got you in the gate and the runs were unlimited.

i just got my car back from a tranny rebuild and a shift kit with a 2800 converter. the weather here is about 60 degrees, and i have a set of worn out a$$ kumho's on my car!

1/8th mile times:

first run--.882 reaction
2.042 60ft
9.172 et
75 mph(tire spinnage of the line)

second run--.821 reaction
2.121 60ft
9.802 et (spinnage/opti actin up)

third run--.828 reaction time
2.101 60ft
9.337 et (tire spinnage/opti)

i dont guess these are that bad of times with 2.73 gears! and all free mods, and no headers (next mod)...

im wanting to get a set of gears. what should i get?

Depends what cha wanna do with the car. I would say minimun some 3:73's. JMO. I don't like winding at 60 with 4:10's. I still like to open er up for some on the FW.

 

Please more peaple post some 1/8 mile times and numbers of HP there got and mods and such. I was pretty happy wilht 8.57
