New Stock-Headed LT1 Best - 12.4 @ 110.8

I made it out to the track with the GM 847 (swapped the CC305 out for the GM 847 this past week). The car went 12.4 @ 110.8 on a 1.81 60' Not bad for a little old cammed-lt1. I backed that up with a 12.51 @ 111.1. The conditions weren't very good tonight. My buddy's car has trapped consistent 99 mph his past few trips to the track and was only trapping 96 mph tonight. I know the car has more in it, just have to hit the track on a good night.

Also, I ran a newer NSX on the freeway on the way home. We ran from a 70 mph roll and he quickly let off after I had 2 cars on him by about 85 mph. My buddy also ran a 13.8 @ 96 in his '91 Talon. His mods are boost controller and 3" exhaust. Stock turbo on 16 lbs.

All in all, a good night.

Doesn't atljar's car still have stock heads? I believe he ran something like 11.98 @115. He also has a 12 bolt and slicks I believe, so he can launch higher without blowing up the rear.

Dan - my best time with the CC305 was 12.62 @ 111. The conditions sucked last night...the car will go quicker but unfortunately it's getting hot here in AZ so it will be a while before I have it at the track again.

Kern - Yeah, Atljar went 11.98 on stock heads. He was also racing in negative DA where as I was running 4000'+ DA.

Nice numbers. I can see 113mph traps with your setup. I went to the track on a crappy night before and trapped 111. I went back with no othe rchanges on a better night and trapped 114 all night.

Thanks guys.

Brandon, do you ever go to the Pavillions? I'm out there every once in a while.

Realquick - yeah, I have no doubts the car will go 113 on a good night but that won't be until october or so. I was pleased with the 12.4 though.

also, did u pull your belt on any of those runs? that will net u a tenth for sure. if u didnt, try it next time. just watch your voltage. too many runs with it off and u will need a jump

Those runs were with the belt on. Only time I've ever tried pulling the belt was on the dyno and it got dangerously lean (15.5:1 ). I keep the belt on now.
