Re: New parts!

Beer is definately a needed item! Don't start this project without proper drinks and snacks. LOL But seriously I'd make sure to clean all the parts really well and inspect them before tearing things apart. Make sure you got some assembly lube and you should be good.

Re: New parts!

Label everything! Including all the connectors and plug wires to save time. Clean all bolts/threads as best you can, best thing is to get a thread chase set. Use lots of RTV and try your best not to rip the oil pan gasket. Don't hammer on the crank sprocket. I'll have pics up soon of what I used. Don't use the crank bolt to turn the crank without the hub on or some kind of spacer, it will bottom out and mushroom. Make sure you read shoebox's removal and install guide all the way through and make notes on what you need before you start, especially if you don't have another car to drive, luckily I did cause I went to the hardware store sometimes 3 times a day. Good luck.

I have a friendly suggestion

Send that extreme LT4 timing set back and get a standard cloyes double roller (since you don't need the waterpump drive gear any longer due to your CSR water pump) and use the $200 you just saved to buy more mods (not to mention that you'll have a much better timing set than the ED LT4)

Re: New parts!

I would have suggested that as well if you hadn't already bought it.
