new Opti same as the old Opti

Hello all, Have a new Summit Opti installed. Car dies then refires later and of course doesn't miss a beat while the GM dealer has it, throws no codes so forth.

Picked it up yesterday, didn't start after leaving the gym. Once it did start, it dies out on the highway maybe 30 seconds later.

Dealership can't find anything wrong with it still. Any help as to waht to do , see check? thanks

Fuel pump going bad? Just replaced mine last week..just died in the middle of the road.

Surprise dealership said they couldn't find out what's wrong. Did they measure your fuel pressure? It's either spark or fuel...rarely air unless your filter is REALLY dirty.

What's the original reason that you replaced the old opti?

As I have talked to people, that is a very real possibility that it is the fuel pump. I have a new one as of June 05

Also I love where they placed that on our cars. Another genius/shyster move on the General's part so half the labor cost is dredging for the FP. Thanks

Sorry, original reason I repleced the Opti and the whole ignition system was it was going bad , missing all over the rev band. Mechanic found oil slopped all over it. Wiping the Opti didn't cure anything.

I repleaced the Opti, all new cap, rotor from Summit. Which has me wondering as well cause this is the first non GM Opti of the 6 I have had on it.
