the car is getting a new motor, and i am definatly replacing the cap and rotor, should i get a new distributor also? what normally wears out on these things? anything i can check for?

btw, opti worked fine before the motor came out

Get the whole thing, the bearing usually goes bad. You can get a cheap OEM from Jason or Dal. It comes as an entire unit with cap rotor and everything.
