new opti car starts up and revs irratic and dies?

Ok last week get in car to start turns over won't start. A few more trys and it fires up runs great all the way home. The next day After running around town I jump and and dead won't even try to start. I check for spark nothing. So I get a new ICM for free brand new still dead. I pull the 2 month old opti generic brand and replace it with a new GM opti. Car fires up and I rev it a little and it revs irratic and then imediately dies. I do this agin a few times. Car just won't stay running for more then 6 seconds. I triple checked the wires and non are crossed. Wires are new. I whip in a new set of plugs. The only thing I can figure is the generic ICM that I got last week is no good. The car also smell very rich like its getting a irratic spark. its a 93Z ecm seems fine. I will check the fuel presure tommorow but I can hear the pump. Would the MAP ot TPS or IAC cause this? Tommorow I'am picking up a GM ICM. What else could it be? car is a stock 93 Z-28
