New OEM timing chain on old sprockets?

Is it safe to put a new oem chain on the old sprockets? I read somewhere that the chain and sprockets develope a wear pattern and that you need to change out them all at the same time. And I dont have the money to do the lt4 ed set or a lunati double roller with an electric pump in case you were gonna tell me to do that instead.

No, it is not advised. Chains and sprockets need to be changed as a set, as you heard.
