I've been through the stock TB and adjusted everything, dyno tunes from 2 different places, mailorder tunes from both the big guys on the board, new 02 sensors, even a new PCM. Hell, my KR problem was so bad I got a constant 3 degrees at idle!, not to mention totally erratic readings after that.

I had to replace the injectors to get it to fire for the first time as my stockers were stuck open from sitting. After that, it leaked like crazy out of the WP shaft hole in the timing cover, I replaced it like 4 times in a week before it sealed up. Then, within the first 20 miles after the motor was done, my damn T56 locked the tires and I nearly wrecked on the freeway- Guess the mechanic forgot to fill it back up with ATF, at least thats what the shop that fixed it said. It was in the shop for three months gettin' a dyno tune after that, they accidently fried my PCM twice by not disconnecting the Scanmaster before downloading(waited 4 weeks each time to get PCM fixed and sent back). Then, while waiting for a PCM, my car got broke into at the shop and I got my new MTX amp and Excelon deck ripped off.

Everythings been resolved but, my fuel trims are still off(which I've learned to live with), I zeroed the KR in the PCM, and it still eats optis every few hundred miles a year later. Somethings done right though, runs the times in the sig through a stock catback, shorties, and unported stock heads.

Your problems aren't that bad after a new motor install. Sounds like evreything will be ironed out by the end of the week.

BTW- my stock starter turns my 11.8:1 motor just fine.
I pray that it is only the cam and tuning that is causing my fuel issue, and the associated stumble/hesitation when I jump on the gas. Problem is that in version 1.0 (my stock bottom end/224/230 setup) the EXACT same problem was aparrent and the tune was almost spot on. I had one side just dumping to the rich end, and all things pointed to bad shortblock after the compression and leakdown test. Guess not though. First time driving the car, tuner looks at Datamaster and goes "huh, you've got one bank (driver) that's spot on, and the other is just pig rich." That's about the same time I sorta jumped on it and felt the tell-tale kick.

I would be looking at a Opti problem, do you have access to a ociliscope? I have seen one 93 that the distibutor was damaged on install and dident start at all I beleve it had the same code as yours.

I'd put a new PCM in it, if it doesn't fix it, you can sell for what you paid for it. Every PCM has certain "gremlins" too small to show up on the program.

Been there, done that. Tried with three different PCM's, one from a KNOWN good car, my other one to be exact.

The opti is a 95 conversion, and it's throwing a high res code, or rather was. After I fixed the plug wires that were crossed, I haven't gotten the code again. It's NOT the opti though, as I tried that on the previous motor with no luck.

Update!

Well, re-did the lash tonight, and when I first started the car it idled up to 2k RPM. The Accel box was working fine, just a bad ground. Then it donned on me that I had a fried chip in the car. Burned a new chip, and double checked the driver side rockers. I confirmed what I thought, that I had knocked two out of there while putting the cover on, so after resetting those, we fired it up. Kicked right over, idled up, then settled to about 1100 while "learning" if you will. Unfortunately, I think the ramp rates are so agressive that zero lash on the Comp R's isn't enough, as we heard a couple jump off the pushrods. Going to pull the valve covers once again tomorrow and set a little more lash in this time. Car sounds great though. Still haven't confirmed if the fuel issue remains, but I didn't throw the High Res Pulse today either. Baby steps are getting bigger.......
