New mods... hmmm

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how to get more out of my car. I ran a decent 109.6 mph at 5100DA so its a decent trap, but is throttle body worth it? Mods in sig, its a 383 forged motor and I want nitrous next season but what else could I add some hp with? Longtubes? I just built the motor so I am not looking to spend money, kinda drained my cash flow. Just thinking of what to get myself for christmas

im thinking
- lt1_edit to tune
- throttle body
- fuel pump
- wideband o2 sensor for lt_1 edit
- longtubes with true duals
- what else?

right now the exhaust just dumps from the shorties + a 1' pipe or so, right around the back of the transmission.

Longtubes and true duals will definitely make a modest improvement. The throttle body may help some too considering the work that you have done to the motor.

Forget all the tune stuff and have it dyno tuned.
Once it is tuned it won't need changing much. Don't figure ya are looking for the last .1000ET.
Ya can also HURT it big time if ya don't know what to tune on.
A TB on a 383 WILL help some run a 1300CFM.

I have always wanted to tune my own car. I really get angry to have to pay people to tune it EVERY time anything is changed for optimal performance, and I like to change parts out often. I am helping with a class project also on tuning an e85 equinox with hydrogen injection, so if I run into any problems I can always ask others on the project. So tuning is really what I want to go, while starting on my base of the madz28 tune. I think there is more hp and tq in the tune than in anything else personally. The cloud it shoots is really unbelievable. I could be wrong because my shorties probably do have some hp with them, it just sounds so good with the 383 now I would hate to fix what isnt broken. I am also thinking of a turbo setup in the near future so I would like to do exhaust then. A turbo probably needs new pistons is all, so that is an expensive build project. Just want somethin for early next season for some more mph. I ran a 2.2 60' at the track so there is always learning to drive too...

how much hp you think is in the longtubes/true duals? right now it is just mac shorties to straight pipes that go to the back of the transmission.
