Welcome aboard! For your first mod I would say get a CAI.(Cold Air Intake)Anyone but the G2.Next I would open up the exhaust.Headers and catback.Use the search feature ,it has a wealth of info there.

Thumbs up

What's up cridom?

I also have a 1994 M6, and I'm happy with my mods so far....but I am contemplating a complete rebuild to 383, or 396 sometime this year, prob. late fall, or over the winter....

Asking which catback is better or which CAI is better is like asking whose mother's cooking is better. You're gonna get a bunch of biased opinions. Out of all these biased opinions, just about any CAI will do except G2. As far as catbacks, it is going to come down to how deep your pocket is and what you are looking for as far as sound. From what I have read, the Hooker Catback is just a little louder than stock at idle, but sounds off its presence when you hit the gas. Supposedly, it is gentle to the ears at cruising speeds also. This is what I plan on getting when the money situation gets better.

There was a post about quieter open exhaust systems just last week. People get irritated sometimes when you don't hit that little search button at the top of the forums, something about clutter and unnecessary repetition. Hey, what do I know
Anyway, I believe SLP was one of the quieter, open solutions for a nice exhaust that doesn't cause headaches. I would just search for it and see what you can get. Welcome aboard, you'll love the car!

Tires, full exhaust and gears. My biggest "seat of the pants" mod was the headers (near stock of course).

Welcome. I would look at the magnaflow catback I have it and love it. Plus its cheap $380 or so and is fully stainless steel. The pro 5.0 is an easy install just make sure to get some locktite for the bolts and some rtv sealeant for the base. Instead of lous short stick just take 1 1/2 in off with a hacksaw. Good luck!

welcome! You'll pass countless hours using the "search" buttom!

Anyway, CAI and a cat-back (well, actually a cut-out) were my fisrt mod too.

If you want, go to my site and see what I did and what were the results at the track...

good luck!
