New LS7 Lifter Has Pitted Coating In Pushrod Valley?
Just received a new set of LS7 lifters from Summit but 2 of them look like they have pitted coating in the pushrod valley. Has anyone seen this before? Should I use these or request a new set? I'm really leaning toward demanding a new set becaues I don't want to redo this.
One of the left looks good and the other looks really pitted:

Didn't realize an edit caused this to double post so I deleted the first one.
BW Hunter (forum member) stated he didn't think this would matter but would send it back if I'm not satisfied and that he would send it back.

It looked like rust at first but with a lupe (sp?) it is some kind of pitted coating. Man, I hate this but I'm going to use it. When I twirled a pushrod inside I couldn't feel any binding. Also, I can barely feel a thing with my finger. I'm getting hardened pushrods so I really don't think it will matter at all. If it can wear out the pushrods then I'll send it to NASA for further testing
